About Solar

How it Works

Solar Energy is produced by the photovoltaic panels which convert the sun’s energy to a purified form of electricity used in our households and workplaces. When the sunlight hits PV panels, the cells on the panels convert the sunlight into Direct Current (DC). The Inverter; connected to the panels, converts the DC power into Alternating Current (AC) electricity and sends it directly into the connected Distribution Box(DB), where it will power anything that uses electricity.

Intelli Energie is Offering Four Types of Solar Power Systems

also known as grid-tie or grid-feed solar system

An On-grid solar system is connected to the electricity grid and has no battery storage. The electricity generated from the solar is used first and excess power if required is fed from the grid. Also excess electricity can be sold to the grid with net metering.

known as a stand-alone power ystemss

An off-grid system is not connected to the electricity grid and hence necessitates battery storage. The off-grid system needs to be designed in a manner so that the system has enough electricity production and storage to meet the consumer’s requirements.

solar plus battery storage system with grid connection

A Hybrid system is connected to the electricity grid and also has battery storage. This means that the system can store solar energy that is generated during the day and use it at night. When the stored energy is exhausted, the grid is there as a substitute.

Net Metering

Now you can sell electricity to the grid. With solar, you can generate electricity at your premises and extra or total electricity can be sold to the grid. Enjoy being a part of the solar family and helping to earn some extra by the grid feed.

Why Go Solar

At present, power demand in Pakistan is 22600 MW and generation capacity is 20190 MW but current generation is only 14000 MW. The rate of increase in power demand is 7.8 % per annum. By the end of 2025 this demand will go up to 42000 MW.

  • Due to its location, Pakistan has tremendous solar potential
  • Pakistan is estimated to possess 2.9 TW solar energy potential
  • There is a big market for solar energy solution in Pakistan
  • High levels of Global Horizontal Irradiance makes it an attractive location for Solar PV Average sunshine of 8 to 10 hours per day; 250 to 275 days per year

Availabitiy & Abundance

Pakistan’s climate conditions are ideal for solar power generation with approximately eight to nine hours of sunshine per day.

Save on Energy Costs

With solar you can save on foreseeable electricity costs for years to come. Forecasts continue to predict an increase in electricity rates in Pakistan, solar remains a cost-effective solution and long-term investment in the future.

Energy Independence

Solar reduces the dependence on the power grid thereby providing an unlimited, reliable source of energy.

Help the Environment

Unlike energy generated by fossil fuels, solar does not release harmful carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Sustainable carbon-free energy solutions such as solar are crucial to slowing the pace of climate change and preventing further damage to the environment.
